The Carmelite Friars are an international Catholic religious order, founded in the early thirteenth century in present day Israel, and their main purpose is to work with the people of God through prayer, fraternity and service. The charity works alongside all people of faith and goodwill, which is done through traditional Christian ministry and by being available to those who are often at the edges of Church and society. The Trust serves the community throughout Britain: directing a large retreat and conference centre, running parishes, working at the University of York Chaplaincy, and running the Shrine of Saint Jude.
A major source of income for the Trust comes from fundraising at the Shrine of Saint Jude in Faversham: through the contributions of those devoted to Saint Jude, the Trust have been able to support the presence and ministries of the Carmelite Friars in Great Britain and worldwide.
Please remember us when you pray. May God, who is never outdone in generosity, through the intercession of Saint Jude, bless you for your kindness.
