30 May 2020

We were meant to be all together today celebrating our Summer Celebration. As we can’t be together, Fr Kevin Alban is reflecting and leading us in prayer so we can be together in prayer – wherever we are.

Unfortunately, Fr Kevin's WiFi let him down at the last minute. He wanted to conclude by praying with you all and Saint Jude at this difficult time for all:

O glorious apostle, Saint Jude Thaddeus, true relative of Jesus and Mary, I salute you and praise God for the honour of his saints. I praise and thank God for all the graces He has bestowed upon you and the apostles, and through you, upon the Church. In humility I implore you to pray for me before God, looking upon me with compassion. Oh, despise not my poor prayer; let not my trust be confounded! To you God has granted the privilege of aiding humankind in the most desperate cases. Oh, come to my aid, that I may praise the mercies of God. All my life I will be grateful to you and will be your faithful client until I can thank you in heaven. Amen.

Hail Mary, Full of Grace, The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now, and at the hour of our death.

Now we pray our special prayer for all those affected by the Pandemic:

Dear Lord, in your ministry, you healed and cared for everyone regardless of age, sex, creed or position in society.

Be with all the people who need you because of Covid-19. Protect those who will feel isolated whilst they are in quarantine or whilst receiving treatment. Help people to work together rather than individually: just as Jesus did with his Apostles.

Saint Jude, saint of hope, pray for us. Amen.

Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, As it was in the beginning, and now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

SAINT JUDE, PRAY FOR US.
