Shrine not opening until November

Monday, October 5, 2020 - 19:00

Since the announcement by Mr. Johnson last month postponing any more lockdown easing in England, we have decided that it is still not possible for individual visits and prayer at the Shrine of Saint Jude. I know this will be disappointing for many of you, but we do not believe it is safe to visit us at the moment.

Please remember that our online services continue, and any post we receive is still being dealt with by the team here. Our phone, emails, letters continue to be answered, and our office remains open.

All your intentions and prayers will continue to be left with Saint Jude, and the community here (and the communities throughout the the Province) will keep you in their prayers. The community will also continue to light candles for you all each day.

You can visit the Shrine virtually and pray with Jude. We have also produced a book of reflections to help you through these difficult times. Finally, why not watch our new video which gives our pilgrims a chance to virtually pray and reflect?

Thank you for your understanding in these difficult times. The Shrine will remain closed until at least the end of August when the situation will be reviewed in the light of church/government guidelines.

Thank you for your continued prayers for us all.

May Saint Jude bless you all,

Fr Kevin Alban, O.Carm
